Music video - Common, I Want You
The music video of the day: Common - I Want You
Featuring: Common, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Derek Luke, Sophia Luke, Serena Williams, and Keri Washington.

The video depicts the struggle and conflict inside, of heartbreak, breakup and moving on. Keri Washington directs the video, and stars as a former girlfriend, ruefully reminiscing and clinging onto nostalgia, grieving over the breakup. Common plays the former boyfriend, who has moved on with Alicia Keys, and finds himself reflecting and revisiting the past and his decision.

Hey Daniel! Okay, so I never thought I'd run across you, but I think we may have been at the same event on Tuesday night. Were you at Opera for the Zazzle-Myspace launch party? I'm looking at these pics, and I see this image of a guy in a grey turtleneck and a beige/tan jacket that looks totally like you... Maybe I'm completely imagining it. Thought I'd ask, tho. :)

HOLY shnikes... that was YOU! You looked so familiar. I was definitely there. But I was wearing a tan jacket over a button up and a grey beanie. What brought you down?

Ahhhhh, you should have approached me! I was too happy taking pics of my co-workers, I wasn't even aware of other people. Even MySpace's Tom. :P

Yeah, it was funny, we're actually in the same picture. You're gazing off to the middle right, and you can see my bun in the lower right. We were actually standing/dancing right next to each other. :P

After all those comments about how we'd have to meet up in one of the other of our cities. *sigh*

So I don't know if you noticed how my blog has become a PR center for my new company (and total, utter dream job), Zazzle, but I was there for the launch party! And I even mentioned it in my blog!

How did you hear about it?

p.s. you apparently talked to Patrick, one of my co-workers who got your business card. At http://www.zazzle.com/kireilauriel, he's the guy on the left and I'm well.. you know. :) We got to be the header banner for the homepage for a while, until the launch. It was a fun 2 microseconds of pseudo-fame, haha :D
